I believe that the quality of education plays a huge part in shaping a child’s future success. Broomwood Primary School
Donna Vipond, Chair of Governors
I moved into the area in 1999 and had a child at the school. I volunteered in the nursery at first and I wanted to get more involved in the school and saw being a governor at the school as a great opportunity! My background was as an NNEB and so have always enjoyed working with children and watching them make progress and have a great interest in children being able to read and enjoy books.
Outside of school I enjoy knitting and family time.
Gorse Hall Primary School

Russell Scott Primary School
Elaine Healy, Chair of Governors
I’m Elaine Healey and I’ve been a Governor at Russell Scott Primary School since 2003. I’m married, live in Denton and have three daughters who all attended Russell Scott.
My Grandson Caleb is in Year one, and he’s the fourth generation of my family to have attended this amazing school.
I run a local Charity called OKE for families who have children with SEND and I’m also Treasurer of Dom Doyle FC.
In my spare time I love watching football, travelling, and spending time with my family.
I’m incredibly honoured and proud to be Chair of Governors of Russell Scott. I love children and I am passionate about education so this is a brilliant role for me, not one I take for granted, but one I treasure.
Russell Scott is an inspirational school and my happy place!
Remarkable things can be achieved when the whole school community comes together and that is one of the things I am most proud of, Russell Scott is not just a school, it’s a family that comes together to enable children to achieve great things.
