What is Autism?
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental condition that affects how people interact, communicate, learn, and behave. It is called a “spectrum” because it includes a wide range of symptoms and severity levels. People with autism may have difficulties with social interactions, exhibit repetitive behaviours, and have unique strengths and challenges.
Recognising Autism
Recognising autism involves identifying signs and symptoms that may indicate the presence of ASD.
Supporting Autistic Pupils
Supporting autistic pupils in educational settings involves creating an inclusive and accommodating environment.
Understanding Autism
Understanding autism requires a comprehensive approach that includes knowledge of its symptoms, causes, and variations.
Things to Avoid
When interacting with individuals with autism, it is important to avoid certain actions and behaviours that may cause distress.
